Happy Birthday Hubby!

That's right,
Hubby is now another year older, wiser and more distinguished
{well, let's just stick with older ;)}

Our Sunday dinner was dedicated hubby's special birthday dinner,
where we {meaning the boys}
basically ate steak and other man food
 - including the ridiculously large container of pub mix my mom thought would be a good idea to buy -

blowing out the candles on his key lime cheesecake
{recipe coming soooooon}

we had to re-light the candles so Isaiah could help blow them out

and then light them yet again, because, hey, blowing out candles is fun, right?

Tonight,
Isaiah was invited to a birthday party
{and since when you're a parent your child's activities and events come before your own}
Hubby and I went on an early birthday date last night!
{we ate at the Japanese restaurant where we both use to work....it's where we met...aaaawwwwe}
hot green tea
{Hubby's, with about 367 packs of splenda in it}

yams tempura
{de-lish...for reals}

the birthday boy with his plate of meat
{and the best tartar sauce on the face of the planet}

and my tofu salad - also delish

We had a good time at dinner...
it's always fun to visit the place you met
{and tried to act like you weren't interested in each other, but were secretly in love}

So crazy that hubby and I have been together for 6 of his birthdays
{we started dating right after he turned 21}
and sweet Isaiah has been here to celebrate 2 of them with us.

These are my wishes for you this year:

that you continue to be your happy and quirky self
that you continue to grow and evolve into the best daddy Isaiah could ever have
that you achieve your dreams
and that you continue to be a positive influence to everyone who comes into contact with you.

Happy 27th birthday, my love.
I hope you have a glorious day, and a blessed year.

It's gonna be a good one...I can feel it.

AND

in honor of hubby's special day
{and because we haven't done it in several weeks}
let's make today a link up party!

Tell me something you love, appreciate or admire about your hubby and spread the love!

The only rules are that you put the 'I heart my hubby' link button in your post,
and link it back here!

Can't wait to read about your men :)
{in a totally appropriate, non-creepy way}

I {heart} my Hubby

I've been a little...overwhelmed lately.
My blog is growing, I can't seem to keep my shop stocked, I'm working on custom orders
and lots of new and exciting things that I'm so thankful for.

But that doesn't mean it's easy, or doesn't take a lot of hard work and sacrifice.

For anyone who doesn't know, I work part time at a pre-school that works in cooperation with our local high school.

It is an amazing job.
I love working with children, and I get to be with my sweet baby boy all day, every day.
Honestly, next to being a stay at home mom, it's the best job possible.
{I couldn't ask for more!}

But what this means, is that I'm trying to balance being a wife & homemaker, a mommy and a blogging and crafting entrepreneur all while working, and it's a little exhausting.

For the past few months, while all of this chaos has been going on,
hubby has been going a little neglected, and that's not ok.

I'm up late every night working on sewing or blogging, and I haven't cooked dinner in weeks.
Something that any husband would be upset about, and understandably so.

But he's not.
In the midst of everything, I'm being treated like I live at the 4 Seasons.
He puts my needs before his.

Hubby makes me coffee every morning,
and after I drag myself out of bed he quietly heads into our room and makes it.
All of our laundry has been done and folded,
and he even took Isaiah grocery shopping so I could be home alone and clean the house.
{I mean, really, add in some room service and I might never leave the house again}
I feel so blessed and guilty at the same time.
I'm ready to have more time with my wonderful hubby.

We did have time to sneak away for a date with some friends last Friday,
and it was wonderful. I've missed having time to have fun together, and I need to make that a priority.

Needless to say, I'm pretty excited that tomorrow is my last day of work
for the entire summer!
{yes, I just stood up and did a little dance...I said I was excited...}

I'm looking forward to more time to work on business-ish things during business-ish hours.
Lots of family time,
some super fun day trips,
cooking dinner for my family,
taking care of running errands,
and cleaning house.

But it's so nice to know that through the good and the bad,
the busy times, and the slow ones,
I have an amazing man who stands by my side and supports me in everything I do.
I really do {heart} my hubby

I {heart} My Hubby

You guys totally rock!
I LOVED reading about your hubby's
{and because Blogger was having issues - again}
I couldn't comment on them all, but know that I read and enjoyed each one!

It was fun learning about your hubby's, seeing pictures of you, and hearing how you met!

And I thought these are some things you should know about my hubby:

He flushes the toilet before he's done peeing - yes, mid stream.
{I think this may take 15 years off my life}

He has issues spreading butter.

He never cleans the lint out of his toes before he gets in the shower.

He would live off of bacon and steak if I let him.

And he likes to leave a pile of clothes next to his side of the bed.

Isn't it funny how things you never imagined can
drive.you.crazy?!

Good thing he makes up for it with all the sweet stuff :)

This week, hubby saved me from this:

{don't worry, hubby set him free. Though one of its legs fell off...I'm sure that's fine, right?}

He let me sleep in on Saturday morning until 7:15. I woke up to freshly brewed coffee and a fed baby...that makes a happy momma.

He writes adorable notes on Isaiah's sandwich baggies

He saved me from walking out of the house with a dryer sheet hanging out of my pants...

Made a noodle moustache on Zaiah's monkey plate

Oh, and he's a total cuddle bug

Yeah, I'd say the good outweighs the bad
{on most days}

Link up and tell me the ways your hubby has been sweet this week!

The only rule is that you include the

I {heart} My Hubby

Now, hubby has made a few small appearances on the blog,
but in no way has he received all the credit he deserves.

So, let me formally introduce you to hubby {or Mark - whichever}

I know, he's a handsome catch, huh? I lucked out.

He's totally silly,
a super hard worker,
loves his family to the moon and back,
never misses out on an opportunity to make me laugh,
and is the best daddy ever.

I can't count how many times he's given Isaiah his bath, and read him his bedtime stories
so that I could work on items for my shop
or blog, or respond to email's.

Oh, and did I mention he's pretty much super-husband?
And I don't mean he scrubs the bathtub for me, empties the dishwasher, goes grocery shopping and mows the lawn
{though he does do those things}

I'm talking about the fact that he's the most supportive person I've ever met.

I've accomplished so many of my dreams this year,
and none of it would have been possible without the help of my hubby.

He is encouraging, supportive, positive and treats my like I never imagined I could be treated.
I'm so lucky and so blessed to have him as my husband.

I know you have supportive hubby's too
{or boy friends, sisters, brothers, friends, moms - overall supportive people}
and I wanted to create a link party where we can honor them each week
for the amazing ways in which they allow us to do what we do!

The only rule is that you include the
I {heart} my hubby link button
- with a link back to my blog-
in your post so more people can join our fun!

Link up today and tell me about the special person in your life who supports you,
and something great they've done for you!
I can't wait to read about the supportive people in your life!
