Awkward & Awesome

Yet again, the time has come for me to share more embarrassing moments from the past week...
it's ok...at least the awkward ones make up for it...
{sorta?!}

Let's get right to it!

Awkward:

This eclectic, multi-colored, wind chime hanging, light stringing {with a flamingo on the the hood} bus,
 that was selling:
fish?! Really?
clearly, the bus is awesome, but fish...
{oh, and random side note...my childhood house - that I lived in for 17 years - is down that road...hummm}

Having my son throw his worst tantrum yet because I threw away his poopy diaper. He cried, kicked and screamed poo-poo, poo-poo for an entire 30 minutes. That's a long time, people.
{please tell me I'm not a bad mom for actually throwing it away...}

Having a son with the loudest, um, toots? I can't tell you how many places we've been this week where Isaiah decided it would be a good time to let one out and they are LOOOOUUUUD! And I'm just sure that when I said, oh, Isaiah, say excuse me, people were like, right lady...that was totally you.

How the majority of my awkwardness this week can be attributed to my son...ahhh, true mommyhood.

Awesome:

Baby boo boo's swim class...

even if he wouldn't smile for me.

Pacific Northwest {Hey! That's me!} blogger's meet up!

Hells yes for something going on in this part of the country :)

Waterparks.
More specifically, the fact that we're leaving tomorrow and taking a weekend trip to a waterpark!
Bring on the sunshine and family time.

What about you, how was your week?!
What was awkward, and what was awesome??

Awkward & Awesome {and a giveaway winner!}

Happy Thursday!
Ok, lot's has happened this week, and this post is chock-full of info
{so read carefully :)}

First, let's start with some pictures from the absolutely amazing
Sara Bareilles concert I had the privilege of attending last night
{clearly, this is an awesome}

were the opening acts, and wonderful, as well :)

On to other awesome things:
LOTS of new things in the shop!
Like these:

and this:

Annnnndddd,

Now for the Awkward:

Having the sudden urge to get out of bed at 11:45 pm to clean your ears...

Having a bird fly into my studio {yes, while I was in it!} and then having another bird {on a different day!} fly into my house! Not sure what I ever did to the bird species, but they are clearly seeking revenge. I swear, I have not moved so fast or screamed so loud in quite some time.

Giving my 22 month old son a banana in the car on the way to swim class. Definitely not my brightest idea ever.

Changing a poopy...and I mean POOPY diaper in the front seat of my car 3times in one week.
Yeah, beat that record.
Apparently, Isaiah has impeccable timing when it comes to poo.

And, for the winner of the UPrinting giveaway

Awkward & Awesome

Last night, went to the Britt Festival
{in Jacksonville, Oregon}
To see Ray Lamontagne...
Let's start with some snapshots :)
It was a really fun night!
I swear, this is one of the most beautiful places to watch a concert,
and it was nice to have a date here.

So, onto some less nice {??} things
here's what was awkward, and what was awesome this week.

Awkward:

While in the shower, I squeezed conditioner onto my hand that ended up looking like a certain....um, man part. I let out a little shriek when I looked down and realized it!

Hubby came about 1.6985 centimeters from rolling the gas attendants hand up in the window. Hubby laughed and said sorry, automatic roll up, and the gas attendant gave him the death stare. We both cracked up as we drove away.

There was some crazy party gone wrong up the street from us which led to a man being chased, some crazy things being yelled, 3 police cars showing up {one parked right outside my house, why my house?!} and carload after carload of people driving away. I seriously have no idea what went down, but it's wasn't good, people.

Awesome:

Date night to a Ray Lamontagne concert!

Leaving for Florida in 2 days...asside from the fact that I have not packed a single thing.

While I'm gone, I have some super amazing, bomb diggity guest bloggers.
Trust me, you won't want to miss it. And yes, I just said bomb diggity.

I let Isaiah carry his dirty diapers {ick, I know} to the outside garbage can and he gets to shoot them in as I hold up the lid. Every time he makes it, he yells money bags!

Hope you had a great week!
Tell me what was awkward, and what was awesome!

Ok, I'm off to be productive.

Must pack. Must pack. Must pack.

you should vote, vote, vote. It will help get me organized...I think.

Awkward & Awesome {what day is it anyway?}

Apparently, after only 2 days of summer vacation,
I've lost all track of time and can't remember what day it is.
{turns out, it's not that hard to do}

Yes, I'm aware that it's technically awkward and awesome Thursday,
but I'm also fully aware that my life is both awkward and awesome on any given day.
Plus, I'm not a big fan of technicalities.
So here you have it...

Awkward

Although we have a teeny puppy, we still decided to buy dog food from Costco.
{it's seriously a lifetime supply}
Anyway, I carried the gigantic bag of food from the car and into the house. I squatted to set the bag down, and my pants ripped right up the crack.
Like, the entire crack.

I took Isaiah to a new park and showed him how to climb up to the slide. He wanted to go down by himself {surprise, surprise}
and so after he went down I needed to slide down.
All of a sudden a little boy comes out of no where and yells "I'll go down with you!"
as he proceeds to jump on and cling to me like a monkey, all while grabbing on to my left boob.
{which he continued to hold all the way down the slide}

The fact that our house basically turns into a drive in theatre each night because our neighbors watch their television sooo incredibly loud.
{mind you, they also had the police called on them for an obnoxiously loud Christmas decoration}

Awesome

Summer vacation!
Park play dates,
lots of walks
and sunshine!

Playing dress up with my sweet baby...he loves daddy's glasses and mommy's shoes.

The fact that I'll be seeing Ray Lamontagne live at Britt in T minus 5 days. Eeeeep!
{soooo excited}

Hope you had a wonderful week...no matter how awkward, or awesome :)

Awkwardly Awesome

 Good morning!
Yep, it's that time of week again...
another installment of Awkward and Awesome
where I admit the super embarrassing things that no one would know about if I didn't publicly announce them - but, what fun would that be?!

Here we go!

Awkward:

Going to the bathroom and then finding I have the pleasure of using this:

Burning the crap out of dinner {something hubby is fairly use to}

Baby butt crack - the awkward part is that the only reason Zaiah's tushie is hanging out of his pants is because he decided it would be a good idea to poop and then stick his hand down his diaper and proceed to touch his poo and tell me "uh oh, icky".

Awesome:

Ball pits. They're just awesome.

Getting the 3rd parking spot from the front at Costco. It's ok if you're jealous.

Zaiah {my natural born vegetarian} deciding that he likes 'chickens' {aka, turkey tenderloin} and having 3 helpings!

Naked babies coloring after bath time. Well, to be specific, my baby :)

How about you?
What was awkward and what was awesome?!

Awkward & Awesome

I'm so enjoying the sunshine and lovely weather that we're having today...
70 today and 80 tomorrow...I'll take it!

As always, plenty of awkward things happened this week
and a few awesome ones too! :)

First, some snapshots

 Awkward:

Finding a slug on the floor in my living room. All the doors were closed...how did this happen?

Having a humungo corona truck parked in our driveway.

My night stand. Yes, that's 3 cups of coffee and 2 cups of water. And yes, I'm embarrassed.

Awesome:

Watching snow white every day this week with my sweet baby boo boo {who must sit about a foot away from the tv}

Having a helper when I have to unload the dishwasher

Watching my sweet Isaiah doodle with a pen and post-it

Having the most adorable baby boy who tried to feed a lizard one of his cheerios

How was your week?
What was awkward and what was awesome?

Awkward and Awesome {even though it's friday}

I'm sure you've all heard it a thousand times already,
but I'm soooooo glad blogger is back up and running
{though I'm not holding my breath as to how long it will last}
It puts a serious cramp, in my bloggin' style, to be down for nearly two days.

ok, maybe I should try the power of positive thinking...
all the glitches have been addressed and we're fixed for good!
{hopefully that helps}

Here are some pictures from this week:

Awkward

Leaving Isaiah alone for 3.25 seconds and coming back to find that he has discovered where I store his baby wipes and also how to pull them out. Pull ALL of them out.

Having the thing that goes in between your toes {what is that called?!} on my sandals break and having to walk with funky limp all the way to my car in order to somewhat keep my sandal on my foot.

Walking into the bathroom and finding a sippy cup in the toilet.

Awesome:

Having a sleepy baby fall asleep in the stroller.

Random trips to the park.

Watching Isaiah put stickers all over himself and repeat "cute, cute" over and over :)

How was your week?!
What was awkward and what was awesome?
