Welcome to Florida :)

As you all know,

last week we were in Florida!

Now, what you may not know,

is that I consider this sunny state to be my second home

{even though it's waaaaay on the other side of the country}

My mom actually grew up in Florida

{Sarasota, to be exact}

and pretty much moved away the first chance she had :)

Her entire family is still there,

so we get to go visit every year.

It's not quite the same as living close to your family, but it's still nice to see them!

My childhood is filled with memories of

Grandma,

aunts, uncles and cousins

theme parks

Siesta Key

choreographed dance performances

and having the best week and a half of summer :)

I still get excited every time we get to go,

and even though some things have changed,

the best things have stayed the same.

While we're there

we eat huge Italian dinners

visit the beach

go to the local beach shops

swim in the pool

and - most importantly - spend time with family.

Here's our Florida :)

It was a beautiful sunset to end our trip :)

I'm so thankful we had the opportunity to visit, and I can't wait until next time!
